- About the Role:
The St Vincent de Paul Society is seeking a reliable and enthusiasticCasual Assistant Shop Managerto support our retail operations across the Leeds area. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, is passionate about charity retail, and is looking for flexible work.You will provide cover for Shop Managers during their days off and holidays, ensuring the smooth running of our charity shops. While your main base will be our Lidgett Lane shop, you will be required to travel to other shops in the Leeds area as needed. Travel costs will be reimbursed.
Key Responsibilities:- Support day-to-day shop operations including opening/closing, cash handling, and customer service
- Supervise and support volunteers
- Maintain high standards of merchandising and stock presentation
- Ensure compliance with health and safety and safeguarding policies
- Promote the mission and values of the St Vincent de Paul Society
- Previous retail experience, ideally in a supervisory or management role
- Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and adapt to different shop environments
- Access to reliable transport for commuting across Leeds
- A commitment to the values of the St Vincent de Paul Society
