About Us
Pause Oxfordshire works with women who have experienced, or are at risk of, repeated pregnancies that result in children needing to be removed from their care. We are a small team that work across the county and we have an office base including a group work room in the Blackbird Leys Library building.
Through an intense 18 month programme of support, pause aims to break this cycle and give women the opportunity to reflect, tackle destructive patterns of behaviour, and to develop new skills and responses that can help them create a more positive future. In doing so, we aim to prevent the damaging consequences of thousands more children being taken into care. After the 18 months programme of intense support women graduate from our programme and remain part of the Pause community through our Next Steps support. As a Coordinator you will be responsible for providing comprehensive and confidential information, guidance and assistance and administrative support. This will enable staff to perform their duties effectively and efficiently. You will act as a key liaison for partner agencies as well as being a direct point of contact for women themselves.
The Pause Coordinator is key to the successful functioning of the Practice. As the fundamental supporting role in a small team, you will coordinate and organize team systems and processes, build effective partnerships with other agencies and stakeholders that support women, and work in a trauma informed way to role model to professionals working with birth parents.
This role needs someone well organised and enthusiastic, who pays close attention to detail to support a fast paced and busy assertive outreach team.
