Student Videographer & Editor – Part-Time, Casual - Student Role
Are you a Bournemouth University student with a passion for filming, editing and storytelling? Do you get a buzz from capturing unforgettable moments and turning them into epic content?
We’re on the hunt for creative and confident videographers to join our Communications Team. You’ll work behind the camera to capture SUBU’s biggest moments, sturning campus life into dynamic, engaging video content that tells the real story of our students.
We are looking for students who are already skilled with a camera and confident in video editing.
You must be a current Bournemouth University student to apply for this role with the ability to work a max of 8 hours per week during term-time.
This role is formed as part of a zero-hour contract. Hours will be flexible, and we fit these around your studies.
Key tasks will include:
- Filming at Students’ Union events and capturing the student experience in all its glory
- Editing footage into polished, professional content
- Brainstorming ideas and concepts with SUBU’s Digital Communications Executive
- Adhere to SUBU’s visual brand when shooting and editing content

Job Title: Student Videographer & Editor
Reporting to: Marketing & Communications Manager / Digital Communications Executive
Location: SUBU, The Student Centre, Talbot Campus
Hours: Part-Time, Term Time, varied 0 – 8 hours per week
Rate of pay: £10.00 - £12.21 per hour (National Minimum Wage)
