The Role
Hamilton Barber are privileged to be supporting a respected charity supporting people experiencing homelessness and related challenges to recruit an inspiring Chief Executive Officer (CEO) .This is a pivotal leadership position where you will provide strategic vision, ensure effective service delivery, and drive the organisation’s long-term sustainability.
About You
You will be a values-driven leader with a proven track record at senior level in the charity, housing, or social care sectors. With a balance of strategic vision and operational oversight, you will be confident managing people, resources, and external relationships to deliver real impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and direction, ensuring high-quality services.
- Lead, support, and develop a team of staff and volunteers.
- Drive fundraising and manage grants to secure financial sustainability.
- Work closely with the Board of Trustees to ensure strong governance.
- Act as the safeguarding lead and ensure compliance with legal and policy requirements.
- Build and maintain strong external partnerships to promote the organisation and its mission.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a senior, strategic leadership role.
- Strong track record of leading change and organisational development.
- Excellent people management and partnership-building skills.
- Knowledge of homelessness, housing, safeguarding, and charity governance.
- Ability to manage organisational risks and performance effectively.
- Strong financial and budget management skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
