The Role

Hamilton Barber are privileged to be supporting a respected charity supporting people experiencing homelessness and related challenges to recruit an inspiring Chief Executive Officer (CEO) .This is a pivotal leadership position where you will provide strategic vision, ensure effective service delivery, and drive the organisation’s long-term sustainability.

About You

You will be a values-driven leader with a proven track record at senior level in the charity, housing, or social care sectors. With a balance of strategic vision and operational oversight, you will be confident managing people, resources, and external relationships to deliver real impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction, ensuring high-quality services.
  • Lead, support, and develop a team of staff and volunteers.
  • Drive fundraising and manage grants to secure financial sustainability.
  • Work closely with the Board of Trustees to ensure strong governance.
  • Act as the safeguarding lead and ensure compliance with legal and policy requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong external partnerships to promote the organisation and its mission.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in a senior, strategic leadership role.
  • Strong track record of leading change and organisational development.
  • Excellent people management and partnership-building skills.
  • Knowledge of homelessness, housing, safeguarding, and charity governance.
  • Ability to manage organisational risks and performance effectively.
  • Strong financial and budget management skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
