About the role
We’re looking for a confident, people-focused Studio Manager to take full ownership of the day-to-day running of our three creative film and photography studio spaces. This is a standalone role, so you’ll need to be a strong self-starter who’s comfortable working independently, managing your own time and responsibilities with minimal supervision.
You'll be the first face our clients see – offering a warm welcome, keeping the studio running smoothly, and ensuring the space is always clean, tidy, and shoot-ready.
In this varied and creative position, you'll also support with lighting setups (full training provided), manage our social media and marketing, and help promote our range of photography packages to potential clients. It's an ideal role for someone who is proactive, hands-on, and highly organised, with a genuine interest in photography, content creation, and client service.
Key responsibilities
- Greet clients on arrival with a warm, professional welcome.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and shoot-ready studio environment.
- Assist with studio lighting setups and equipment management (training provided).
- Handle client enquiries, manage bookings, and provide tailored advice on our photography packages.
- Run the studio’s social media accounts – planning, posting content, and engaging with our audience.
- Support and implement marketing activities, promotions, or mini-campaigns to increase visibility.
- Coordinate scheduling using studio calendars and systems.
- Track and maintain studio supplies, props, and backdrops.
- Manage admin tasks, including bookings, follow-ups, and collecting feedback.
What we’re looking for
- Friendly, approachable, and confident with excellent communication skills.
- Highly self-motivated and independent, with strong time management and organisation skills.
- A proactive problem-solver who takes initiative and enjoys working solo.
- Skills in photography, film, or creative content.
- Comfortable using social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok) in a professional setting.
- Confidence with emails, spreadsheets, and calendars.
- Willingness to learn about studio equipment, and lighting.
What we offer
- 30 hours per week (paid at the living wage).
- Full training on all studio equipment and lighting.
- Flexible working hours where possible (note: weekend and evening availability is required).
