The International Rescue Committee (IRC) responds to the world's worst humanitarian crises, helping to restore health, safety, education, economic wellbeing, and power to people devastated by conflict and disaster. Founded in 1933 at the call of Albert Einstein, the IRC is one of the world's largest international humanitarian non-governmental organizations (INGO), at work in more than 40 countries and 29 U.S. cities helping people to survive, reclaim control of their future and strengthen their communities. A force for humanity, IRC employees deliver lasting impact by restoring safety, dignity and hope to millions. If you're a solutions-driven, passionate change-maker, come join us in positively impacting the lives of millions of people world-wide for a better future.

Airbel—IRC’s Impact Lab—designs, tests, and scales solutions for people affected by conflict and disaster. Amidst shrinking funding and growing need, the IRC’s Best Use of Resources (BUR) team increases the impact and scale of humanitarian programming per dollar. BUR supports the IRC and the humanitarian sector to generate, synthesize, share, and use cost evidence.

We are seeking a Senior Advisor, Cost Evidence Advocacy to spearhead BUR’s efforts to increase the use of cost evidence among humanitarian stakeholders, with a special focus on influencing government foreign aid. The Senior Advisor, Cost Evidence Advocacy will translate cost evidence into compelling policy narratives and advocacy strategies, and engage directly with stakeholders to ensure the take-up of cost evidence.

Reporting to BUR’s director, the Senior Advisor, Cost Evidence Advocacy will dual report into IRC’s Policy & Advocacy team and work closely with External Relations, Program teams, and counterparts within the IRC-led Dioptra Consortium. This position does not directly supervise others.
