Meet your Manager
In this role, you will be managed by Helen James who joined ClientEarth in 2023 and is based in London. Helen is our Global Head of Communications and is an experienced and highly motivated communications leader with substantial experience in leading global strategies, campaigns, and teams within not-for-profit organisations.
Main Duties
- Lead the communications staff in Warsaw, developing communications strategies to enhance the impact of key litigation and advocacy work, managing risk and seeking opportunities for innovation.
- Deliver and implement a corporate communications strategy for ClientEarth Poland in conjunction with the Head of Poland, which builds the organisation’s reputation and influence.
- Ensure effective collaboration and coordination of communications work across the EU to ensure maximum impact of our pan-Europe work.
- Act as a trusted communications advisor and work to develop ClientEarth spokespeople and provide media training and briefings to ensure spokespeople remain on message
- Oversee ClientEarth’s communications input into coalitions in Poland and support partner organisations across the EU to increase the impact of the environmental movement.

Role requirements
- Fluent (CEFR level C2) in Polish (essential)
- Substantial experience and proven success in leading communications delivery (essential)
- Experience of line management in a communications context, including leading a team and managing performance (essential).
- Experience of working with national and international media to land stories and organisational messages that further agreed strategic aims (essential).
- Strong knowledge and understanding of communications tools and techniques with a record of success in managing communications for impact for an international organisation (essential).
