Salary:                         Up to £64,000 per annum (depending on experience)

We’re looking for a talented Senior Adviser – Charity Resilience Lead to join our Impact Accelerator team at Charities Aid Foundation (CAF).

What you’ll do

At CAF, we are focused on supporting charities to build their resilience and as our Senior Adviser – Charity Resilience Lead you too will play an integral part in what we do.

As our Senior Adviser – Charity Resilience Lead you will:

  • Lead CAF's strategic consultancy work with charities focused on capacity building and resilience, overseeing day-to-day management of client work including project and resource management as well as delivery.
  • Responsible for designing and coordinating effective multi-year resilience programmes, continually evolving our resilience practice through evidence.
  • Alongside two other Senior Advisers, responsible for driving growth and innovation in CAF’s advisory offering, ensuring it remains sustainable and relevant in an ever-changing world and aligned with client needs. You will set the strategy for our advisory offering, delivering on objectives and income targets.
  • Line manage and upskill team of advisers as well as share your expertise with internal stakeholders.
  • Act as a reference and ambassador/thought leader on charity resilience engaging with internal and external stakeholders and networks where relevant.

Who you’ll be

This role is for you if you have deep experience in the charity sector, fundraising consultancy, programme design and/or funder plus/technical assistance programmes or have relevant transferable skills and are keen to drive impact for charities. We are looking for:

  • Leadership skills and ability to nurture talent
  • Strong analytical skills and strategic vision.
  • Ability to influence and negotiate with demanding clients, understanding the challenges faced by charity clients and comfortable engaging at board level.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Ability to facilitate workshops and guide strategic discussions.
  • Expertise in capacity building/ funder plus programme design and delivery.
  • Strong expertise and ability to provide strategic advice in one or numerous areas that can bolster charity resilience: strategy, fundraising/income diversification, governance, impact evaluation, operations.
