Acorns Children's Hospice are now looking for a SystmOne Implementation Officer to support with the organisation-wide implementation and rollout of the SystmOne electronic patient record (EPR) system. This is a critical, project-based role responsible for providing high-level administrative, technical, and data support to the Care Data and Reporting Manager. You will be instrumental in configuring the system, ensuring data quality, and supporting end-user adoption across all care services. This is a temporary role for 12 months, working 30 hours per week. This may become a permanent role in future.

About the Role

At Acorns Children’s Hospice we offer specialist palliative nursing care and support for local children and their families across the West Midlands. We are there wherever and whenever they need us, in the hospice, community and at home. Our services include short breaks for children at our hospices, therapeutic and psychosocial support, support for siblings and other family members, emergency and end of life care and bereavement support.

As SystmOne Implementation Officer, you will:

  • Coordinate the mapping and migration of existing patient data from current administrative systems into SystmOne, ensuring data integrity and accuracy throughout the transition.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive system documentation, including user guides, FAQs, and quick-reference sheets specifically tailored to Acorns workflows.
  • Provide on-the-ground support during and immediately following the SystmOne "Go-Live" phase, acting as a super-user to help staff troubleshoot and navigate the new system.
  • Act as the NHS Local Administrator for NHS.net accounts, creating and managing all NHSmail accounts

About You

  • Proven experience in a technical or clinical administrative role within a healthcare or hospice environment.
  • Experience in a project support role, particularly involving IT or system implementation.
  • Technical aptitude with the ability to quickly understand and configure new software systems
  • High degree of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail, particularly when handling patient data
  • Experience using SystmOne in a configuration, super-user, or training capacity would be advantageous.

What We Offer

  • £22,400 to £26,800 per annum (equivalent to £28,000 to £33,500 for full time hours)
  • 30 hours per week (over at least 4 days)
  • Employee discounts from leading retailers – including the Blue Light Card
  • Discounts on refurbished tech
  • Eye Test discount
  • Health cash plan
  • Gym membership and equipment discount scheme
  • Bike2Work scheme - save up to 42% on bikes and equipment
  • Wellbeing, legal and financial support
  • Generous contribution to group personal pension plan (7.5%) or continuation of current NHS pension scheme
  • NHS pension scheme life assurance or Acorns group life assurance scheme
  • Annual leave entitlement increases with length of service
