Join the vibrant team at Northampton Students’ Union as a Venue and Events Manager, where you'll help deliver exceptional food and drink services to our campus community. This role involves supporting food preparation, maintaining high standards of food hygiene, assisting with food displays, monitoring temperatures, and safely transporting meals across campus. You'll be part of a friendly and supportive environment, contributing to the student experience while developing your skills in a fast-paced and rewarding role. Key responsibilities include: leading venue operations and staff; planning and delivering a wide range of events; managing budgets, stock, and financial performance; developing new income streams; ensuring outstanding customer service; and maintaining full compliance with health, safety, licensing, and operational standards. You will also work closely with marketing and membership teams to promote the venue, support student-led activity, and enhance The Engine Shed’s profile

Role Information and Benefits

Grade: 6 £32,080 (with OTE)

Responsible to: Head of Finance & Compliance

Responsible for: Cafe Managers, Caterer, Casual Bar and Catering Staff, Venue Security. 

Functional Relationships: SU CEO & Senior Leadership Team, Elected Officers, Management Acoountant Operational Leads, External Clients, University Estates & Campus Services Directorate, Licencing Officer.
