Home Support Worker
Would you like to make a real difference to older people, helping them stay independent in their own homes?
We're looking for energetic and organised Home Support Workers throughout Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin to assist older people with their household and domestic tasks.
What we offer
- Annual salary of £23,492 pro rata (depending on your hours)
- An additional 14%+ rolled up holiday pay each month
- No personal care and no weekend or night shifts
- Travel time between clients and expenses paid
- Paid training

What the job entails
- To support older people who need a little help to remain in their own homes for as long as possible
- Tasks could involve cleaning, laundry, ironing, changing beds or shopping and general support
- You will be ideally placed to respond to changes or decline in your clients, supported by our professional team here at Age UK Shropshire Telford & Wrekin
What we'd like from you
- A full driving licence and your own transport are essential, as the service covers all of the county
- You will be a ‘people person’ and you’ll enjoy playing an essential role in keeping older people safe and independent
- A commitment to 10+ hours per week over at least three days, Monday to Friday. We're very flexible and we’d like you to be as well.
