Youth Worker

Thank you for showing an interest in applying for the role of Youth Worker. This is an exciting role to lead and drive our Charity Objectives in supporting young people in making positives changes to their lives in gaining social skills and problem-solving challenges in life. You must have a good sound knowledge of issues facing young people in challenging times along with solutions to problems they encounter.

The post is based in buildings along with detached youth work in Kirkstall ward in Leeds. The sessions are run over 3 days on a Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday evenings where you will be required to commit to this arrangement.

The post requires the holder a level 3 Certificate in Youth and Community Work, however we will consider someone with the relevant experience and the willingness to train towards level 3 Certificate in Youth and Community.

The role will require you to possess:

  • Develop innovative projects
  • Keep to date with legislation and laws affecting young people

We require a Youth Worker with a pro-active approach, solution-focused, person with experience in youth work or similar with a recognized qualification. You will be responsible in developing projects that inspire and empower young people, challenge inequalities, provide support based on young people’s needs and provide reports. You will be working closely with the General Manager in delivering our charitable objectives.
