The Birtenshaw Group are looking to appoint an Assistant Manager: Estates and Transport to work across both Bolton and Merseyside sites.
The successful candidate will be responsible in the main for the following sites: Birtenshaw School Merseyside, Birtenshaw School Bolton, Birtenshaw College, Birtenshaw Care and Enrichment Services.
This role will primarily be based at Birtenshaw Merseyside, however, days will be required at Birtenshaw Bolton on a weekly basis.
The successful candidate will be required to:
- Plan effective transport movements daily.
- Line manage a team of Driver/Caretakers and Passenger Escorts across multiple sites
- To ensure vehicle fleet is maintained to a high standard and is legally compliant
- To develop, co-ordinate, implement and monitor safe working systems and processes
- To be adaptable to working hours and location, multi-site working will be required
- Adhere to all operator licence conditions
- Carry out driving duties when required
- Plan and co-ordinate site maintenance.
- Carry out weekly estate’s safety checks and tests, including Fire Alarm Test and Emergency Lighting Checks
- Liaise with third party contractors on reactive maintenance issues
- Work in line and review Estates and Transport Risk Assessments
- Have good experience using Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook, Excel and Word
- Be part of an On Call Rota, for out of hours issues that may arise across the sites of the Birtenshaw Group.
- To deputise for Estates and Transport Manager during periods of absence
