Programme Talent Associate Fixed-term contract Teach First is a charity that believes education is the most powerful tool to help a child fulfil their potential. The role The rundown: As a Programme Talent Associate, you’ll play a key part in delivering our activity to recruit a diverse range of applicants to Teach First’s programmes. You’ll be responsible for finding talent and compelling people to apply, with a varied workload involving visits to university campuses and recruitment events, contacting your own lead pipeline and providing high-level support to our Programme Talent Officers You’ll be joining a high-performing, busy recruitment team, known for innovation and excellence. • • • • • • You’ll take ownership of a pipeline of leads who have expressed an interest in our programmes. Through tailored calls, emails and webinars, you’ll find out their motivations and encourage them to apply. You’ll provide ongoing, high-quality support to our team - for example, supporting with organising flagship presentation events, contacting stakehold- ers or working with student societies. You’ll identify top talent through headhunting, including using LinkedIn to influence high-potential candidates to apply. As part of our focus on continual improvement, you’ll regularly input on what we should stop, start and continue doing as a team. You will take ownership of responding to candidate queries via email, managing a busy inbox and phone line, responding within agreed timeframes. You’ll also provide additional ad-hoc support across the team and directorate as required—e.g. support- ing with Selection days or with delivery of our Taster Programmes. The detail: day-to-day work You’ll take ownership for: • You’ll represent Teach First at a range of events, both in-person and virtually, acting as the face of our brand to potential applicants for our pro- grammes. Through events such as careers fairs, activations on university campuses, promotional stands and presentations, you’ll focus on generating interest and inspiring people to apply. • • • Delivering recruitment activities to a consistently high standard. Take a look at our role levels and where you’ll fit in. You’ll have strong planning and organisation skills and be able to manage your time effectively and independently. You’ll be passionate about working for Teach First and making a difference as part of a dynamic recruitment team. Travel within the role: Please note that this role will require attendance at recruitment events. Along with occasional team days and training events, this means that regular travel and occasional overnight stays form part of the role. Travel, accommodation and subsistence costs are covered by Teach First. As part of a varied workload, the role-holder will also benefit from Teach First’s innovative approach to agile working. You’ll be confident in building relationships quickly, able to build rapport with other people to collabo- rate effectively. You’ll be able to demonstrate strong attention-to- detail in your work, with a commitment to achiev- ing high customer service standards. You’ll be able to demonstrate experience of using your own initiative, problem solving and stepping up to take real responsibility.
