UJIA Israel Experience Coordinator
Job Description | September 2025

About UJIA Israel Experience

our work to provide urgent relief and long-term
support to affected Israeli communities, working
with partners to help rebuild lives and strengthen
resilience.

The Jewish Agency for Israel (JAFI) has been
the global leader in connecting Jews worldwide
to Israel and to one another for over 90 years.
Through educational programming, immersive
Israel experiences, and initiatives to strengthen
Jewish communities around the world, JAFI works
to ensure a vibrant Jewish future rooted in shared
identity and connection to Israel. In Israel, JAFI plays
a critical role in advancing social impact initiatives,
supporting olim (recent immigrants) and vulnerable
populations, and fostering unity across diverse
communities.

UJIA Israel Experience is the partnership between
UJIA and JAFI that delivers immersive educational
programmes in Israel for young British Jews. Acting
as the central organising framework for Israel Tour,
this collaboration provides the operational expertise,
infrastructure, and communal support needed to
make these life-changing journeys possible. Each
year, UJIA Israel Experience works closely with
UK youth movements, Israeli tour providers, and
community stakeholders to ensure that thousands
of young people experience Israel firsthand, building
identity, connection, and a lasting bond with the
Jewish people and the State of Israel.

UJIA is dedicated to ensuring that young Jewish
people in the UK forge a personal relationship with
Israel and feel a strong sense of belonging to the
Jewish people. Our work focuses on three core
pillars: empowering young people, experiencing
Israel, and deepening Israel connections. We work
closely with youth movements, the Union of Jewish
Students, and a wide range of partners to remove
barriers to participation and cultivate future leaders.
Each year, we help send hundreds of young people
to Israel on transformative programmes such as
Israel Tour, Birthright and long-term programmes,
fostering lifelong connections to Israel and the
wider Jewish community. Beyond these journeys,
we support initiatives in Israel that tackle inequality
and drive social mobility, ensuring young people
in the UK are not only connected to Israel but are
also active participants in its ongoing progress and
development. Since 7th October, we have expanded
