Support Workers – Camden Outreach – Full Time Permanent and Bank Support Workers

  • Salary: £26,674.40 per annum (£13.85 per hour bank rate)
  • Hours: Full-time permanent and bank opportunities- 37 hours per week if full time permanent or 20-30 hours per week if bank.
  • Please note evenings, weekend and bank holiday work may be required. One of our services may also offer a sleep in shift one night a week either Saturday or Sunday.

You will get to see the direct impact you are making by offering people with learning disabilities the support they need to enjoy the same rights, freedom, responsibilities, choices and quality of life as others within the wider community.

You will provide support to service users to ensure safety, health and wellbeing as well as:

  • Offer person centred support to service users in line with their individual and cultural preferences, day to day and long-term needs; including but not limited to social and leisure activities, health needs and appointments, personal care and domestic duties
  • Include service users in day-to-day and long-term decision making
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team
  • Act as a keyworker to individual service users
  • Keep accurate and up to date records and reports in relation to service users, in line with the systems and procedures in place at the project
  • Willing and able to offer physical support to service users including personal care and manual handling
  • Aware of issues affecting people with learning disabilities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • The ability to work and contribute within a team
  • The ability to work unsupervised and on own initiative
  • Enthusiastic and motivated
  • Preferred: PBS (Positive Behaviour Support) experience
