Chelsea and Westminster Swimming Club (CWSC) in London has an opportunity to work directly with the Club’s Senior Performance and Junior Performance squads alongside the Director of Swimming and Assistant Head Coach.

CWSC is one of the country’s largest and reputedly most successful swimming clubs. We have a rich history in supporting diversity and creating a culture where swimmers and staff are united towards delivering competitive swimming. Our wealth of experience among our coaching team ensures that every athlete and staff member is supported in an environment that is focused, cohesive, and, above all, extremely enjoyable.

We are looking to expand our team with the right individual to support our Senior and Junior Performance swimmers.

Specification :

  • Work directly on Senior Performance and Junior Performance with the Director of Swimming and Assistant Head Coach. Enhance the development of Junior and Senior Performance swimmers.
  • Commit to attend all outlined competitions and camps. Complement the training cycle outline set by the Head Coach

 Main Duties:

  • Outline, work to and deliver coaching sessions as required for the Performance squads.
  • Assist with the overall strategic programme outlined by the Director of Swimming for the development of CWSC.
  • Liaise with other coaching team members to ensure squad delivery and progression is cohesive.
  • Develop and facilitate competitive opportunities for all swimmers, and attend competitions/events.
  • Nurture and develop the talent of every swimmer and ensure they all understand the progress they are making.
  • Complete registers for squads you are coaching.
  • Attend relevant meetings (including coach, operations meetings, etc) outlined by the Director of Swimming.
  • Adhere to the CWSC policies and procedures.
  • Be prepared to work with other squads within the pathway to enhance coaching development and knowledge.
  • Be prepared to improve and update coaching qualifications.
  • Assist the CWSC Management Team (as and when required) in administration duties including:
    • Events/camps.
    • Session planning, competition structure outline, and the planning of training camps.
  • Follow and promote Health & Safety procedures and the Swim England’s Child Protection Policy.
  • Be aware and understand the Emergency Action Plan and Normal Operating Procedures for each facility used by the Club.
