Job Title: Medical Support Coordinator
Working pattern: 35 hours per week, term time only (39 weeks)Start Date: October 2025
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all medical and first aid procedures, ensuring compliance with statutory guidelines.
- Administer and audit medications, maintaining accurate medical records and care plans.
- Write, review, and update medical support plans and risk assessments for students.
- Coordinate with parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure students’ needs are met.
- Organise medical and SEND training for staff, keeping records up to date.
- Support students with medical needs, continence management, and personal care.
- Lead medical arrangements for school trips and visits.

What we are looking for:
- Strong literacy, numeracy, and ICT skills (GCSE grade C/4 or equivalent).
- First Aid certificate (or willingness to train in paediatric and workplace first aid)
- Experience of supporting children or young people with complex SEND and medical needs
- Knowledge of medical, SEND, and safeguarding procedures.
- Ability to write and maintain accurate medical support plans and risk assessments.
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with students, families, colleagues, and external professionals.
