Your role at BRE
The Operations Team Leader supports the effective delivery of Building Performance Services by managing a team responsible for scheme applications, customer service and revenue generating processes. The role ensures high quality service delivery, accurate financial processing and adherence to operational and quality standards.

Lead and oversee the BPS Operations Support and Delivery Team, ensuring efficient workflow, performance management, and achievement of service levels.

Manage end-to-end processing of BREEAM Assessor licences, AP subscriptions, and assessment registrations in line with standards and SLA requirements.

Oversee purchasing, invoicing, debt management, procurement processes, project codes, and financial administration for BPS services.

Ensure compliance with ISO and UKAS quality standards, maintaining robust operational procedures.

Monitor customer interactions across email, phone, and Live Chat, and manage escalated queries and complaints.

Produce and report KPIs, service levels, financial performance data, and operational insights.

Make certification decisions and issue certificates for assessments under Administrative QA review.

Identify opportunities for process improvement and support implementation of operational efficiencies.

Collaborate with teams across BREEAM, Infrastructure, Academy, Finance, Sales, and Marketing to ensure smooth service delivery.
What we are looking for
- Proven experience in managing teams and overseeing staff performance in an operational environment.
- Strong understanding of business administration, operational processes, and finance (invoicing, procurement, and reporting).
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and workflows.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in operational and financial tasks.
- Experience with ERP/finance systems, such as Agresso, or similar.
- Knowledge of quality standards and accreditation processes (ISO 9001, ISO 17065 UKAS).
- Ability to lead teams to achieve service level agreements and performance targets.
- Experience handling customer queries, escalations, and ensuring a smooth service delivery.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to implement process improvements.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams across an organisation.

Work Location Options
Hybrid – This role offers a mix of home and office working. You will need to be within commuting distance of our Watford office, as you will be expected to attend in person 2-3 times per week. This role is a six month fixed-term contract covering a colleague on maternity leave.
