Part-time Communications Manager (Media)
St Edward’s Oxford is seeking an experienced Communications Manager (Media) to help raise the School’s profile locally, nationally and internationally. This is a part-time role.

Our Communications Department is widely recognised for its creative, high-quality approach to marketing and communications, and the Communications Manager (Media) will play a central part in extending that reputation through impactful coverage of the School across print, digital and broadcast media. You will develop a clear and purposeful framework that supports the generation of this media coverage, ensuring it reflects and advances the School’s strategic objectives.
Your work will directly support pupil recruitment, fundraising initiatives, commercial income generation, staff recruitment and the continued strengthening of the School’s reputation. You will lead the creation of campaign plans that promote new developments across the School and cultivate strong, productive relationships with journalists and media organisations to maximise coverage.
About you
We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking and friendly individual with exceptional interpersonal skills, who is comfortable working closely with journalists and the wider media. Educated to degree level or equivalent, you will bring an in-depth understanding of both print and digital media, together with an awareness of the cultural and political context in which independent schools operate. Significant experience in communications or marketing is essential, along with excellent communication, teamwork and organisational skills, and an exceptional attention to detail.
