Job Description
We are recruiting a project worker (20 hours per week Fixed-term contract ending 31st March 2027 (subject to funding, this may be extended)) to work with parents of autistic children and young people at mainstream primary and secondary schools in Sheffield, as part of the Autism in Schools and PINS projects.
We are excited to be expanding the Autism In Schools/Partnerships for Inclusion and Neurodiversity in Schools (PINS) project into further primary, secondary and post 16 settings across Sheffield. Parent carer experience and co-production is at the heart of the project to work with the settings identified to better support the needs of neurodivergent children and young people. The project aims to improve the school/setting environment, relationships between staff, parents and students, and early intervention.
The project worker will work with parents and staff in the participating settings to set up parent groups and seek parents’ views on how to improve support in schools.
