JOB DESCRIPTION
Personal Assistant
A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
I am a 10 year old boy with Autism living in the Ely area who would like to employ two PA'S to support me, both in my home and out in the community.
I am a wheelchair user and I really enjoy all aspect of washing machines, including making ones out of cardboard. I also enjoy crafting as well as gaming and going to my local park to use my trike.
PURPOSE OF JOB
Supporting me within my home and to access activities within the community.
PLACE OF WORK
At my home and in the community
HOURS OF WORK
3 hours a week term time and 6 hours a week in school holidays at 2:1 ratio.
To be worked flexibly between Mondays and Fridays 16.30 to 19.30pm.
RATE OF PAY
£14.60 per hour
TASKS INVOLVED
- Keeping me safe by supporting me in my home as well as enabling me to access activities in the local community.
- Visiting shops to view washing machines.
- Supporting me with my crafting projects.
- Use their own bicycle to join me when I go to the park to keep up with my trike or to jog alongside me.

ABOUT THE JOB
The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority). The relevant checks will be carried out to ensure any applicant has the right to work in the UK before you start work. Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid four weekly and appropriate holiday pay given.
