The post holder will teach across a range of Levels from Level 3 up to Degree Level 6.

Key Responsibilities
You will be required to:
- Undertake the teaching, learning and assessment of Art, Design and Fine Art Practice.
- Teach into the portfolio of BA Hons. Programmes and Further Education courses within the curriculum area as requested by the curriculum area management team;
- Have an in-depth knowledge and experience of Fine Art Practice;
- Have a good working knowledge of historical developments and contemporary practice within the field;
- Lead the BA Hons Fine Art Practice team;
- Contribute to the marketing of the curriculum area courses within local schools, feeder FE colleges and other institutions throughout the country;
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
Essential Criteria:
- Relevant degree or equivalent qualification
- Teaching qualification (If you are not in possession of a teaching qualification as at the date of employment, you will be required to obtain a PGCE within 2 years of this date)
- GCSE English and Mathematics at minimum Grade C or O Level equivalent
- Documented evidence of appropriate Professional Development
- Relevant teaching experience
- Good literacy and numeracy skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels both orally and in writing
- Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
- Ability to work harmoniously with learners and colleagues
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Excellent punctuality and ability to work flexibly
- Willingness to represent the college and curriculum area at external events and exhibitions
- Willingness to accompany students on study visits

and other marketing events
Desirable Criteria:
- A good understanding of relevant issues in post 16 education
- A proven track record of high levels of learner attainment
- Awareness of key performance indicators
- Evidence of innovative teaching and learning activities
- Evidence of effective tracking and monitoring of learner performance

Experience of actively participating in the pastoral care of
young people - Sound understanding of digital literacy
- Willingness to drive a college minibus
- Willingness to contribute to develop extra-curricular activities
Welsh Language Requirements:
- Welsh Oracy (Listening/Speaking) - Level 0/1 Desirable
- Welsh Literacy (Writing/Reading) - Level 0/1 Desirable
