We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Bursar/Assistant Management Accountant to join our small friendly team. You will possess strong financial and management accounting skills, be a self-starter and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You will be pro-active and have proven experience in providing professional support at Senior level in a business or school environment. You will have good IT skills, particularly Excel and experience of accounting software, with the ability to analyse and interpret data effectively to prepare detailed reports based on statistical analysis and findings.
The successful candidate will have very high standards of accuracy, be able to communicate easily with parents, staff and pupils and have a good understanding of bookkeeping, data protection and handling of sensitive information.
The Ideal Candidate
You will have:
- Experience of producing management accounts, budgetary estimates, reports, cash flow and financial and statistical summaries
- Experience of the principles and methods of book-keeping and its adaptation to various purposes, including the preparation of final accounts
- AAT Level 3 qualified or equivalent
- Minimum A level standard, including 5 GCSEs (9-5/ A*-C) including Maths and English
