Level 2 Playworker
Level 2 Playworker to join our Setting. We are opening a new wraparound provision. Offering childcare for children aged between 3 – 11 years old.
The successful candidate will work as part of a team to provide quality play and learning opportunities, helping children and young people to develop.
Job Purpose
To be responsible for providing a safe, stimulating environment and high quality of care and education for children aged 3 years to 11 years
Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Setting up, clearing away and cleaning of resources
- Prepare, serve and supervise snack
- Ensure planning and topic activities are set out appropriately each day
- Attend staff meetings
- Self-Evaluation
- Attend appraisals
- Be familiar with and compliant with National Minimum Standards (CIW)
- Be familiar and compliant with CIW requirements
- Be familiar with all policies and procedures and ensure they are all adhered to at all times
- To work as part of a team, communicating well
- Attend training as required
Knowledge, Skills, Training and Experience
- Holds a Level 2 Playworker qualification, or willing to work towards a play work qualification
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- Effective use of ICT
- Use of relevant equipment/resources
- Knowledge of all policies and procedures
- Work constructively as part of a team, understanding roles and responsibilities and your own position within these
- Ability to identify own training and development needs and discuss with Person in Charge
- First Aid training, Safeguarding training and Food Hygiene training required (these can be arranged if required)
Salary: Begins at national minimum wage rising depending on experience and qualifications

4 hours with possibility of additional hours after school, if available. Hours to be over 5 days. After school Monday – Friday 2.30pm – 5.15pm. To be discussed at interview stage
