What will you be doingYou will provide input and ideas to our approach to Facilities, which includes deputising for the facilities Manager in day-to-day maintenance, planned preventative maintenance, and responding to maintenance requirements and projects. The role will be instrumental in ensuring NEBOSH maintains a safe working environment for all our employees.
Key Accountabilities include:- Act as the key point of contact for all facility related matters and provide services and support for facilities management to the organisation
- Plan, co-ordinate and resolve, with the support of external providers, reactive and preventative maintenance
- Maintain and update the Facilities Contractor database, ensuring all required documents are in place
- Develop, manage and implement facilities management policies and procedures
- Oversee facility refurbishments, renovations and related projects as required
- Manage the facilities budget
- Support the team with DSE co-ordination including queries and issues where appropriate (Display Screen Equipment)
You will currently be working in Facilities management and looking to enhance your experience, skills and qualifications.
What do you need?- Skills and experience of facilities management particularly in relation to the scope of office facilities
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to operate both independently and within a team
- Have a full clean driving licence
- Practical hands on skills to be able to address minor maintenance issues
- IT skills – Microsoft Office - word, excel, powerpoint
- Numerical aptitude
- Be self - motivated with a pro-active ‘can do’ approach
- Have well developed interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate good administration skills
- Have excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise and multitask.
- Ability to take initiative and problem solve
- Demonstrate a flexible approach
- A general understanding of Health and Safety legislation
- Some knowledge of the ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 management standards
- Experience of contractor relationships and management
- Willingness to learn and study for professional qualifications
