Stoke City Football Club of the English Football League is looking for an Academy Administrator to support its Academy administrative operations at the Clayton Wood Training Ground in Trent Vale.
The successful applicant will assist in the management of all logistical and operational issues affecting Clayton Wood, bet365 Stadium or any other site utilised by the Academy as well as all processes in relation to requirements from the Premier league, Football League and Football Association. You will report directly into the Academy Manager and liaise closely with the Academy Operations Officer and Head of Academy Recruitment.
Main Responsibilities
- Overseeing all matters relating to the recruitment, registration and release of Academy players.
- Ensuring adherence to Club, Premier League, Football League and FA guidelines and protocols.
- Organising travel and accommodation arrangements for Academy players and staff.
- Providing specific support for Academy transport requirements.
- Performing compliance audits to confirm procedures are followed.
- Maintaining accurate and up to date player records and documentation.
- Assisting with the coordination of Academy events, fixtures and training schedules.
- Communicating effectively with players, parents, coaching staff and external stakeholders.
- Managing administrative tasks, including correspondence, filing and data entry.
Key Skills, Experiences and Qualifications
- Proficient in general office administration, including filing, data entry, correspondence and diary management.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise workload effectively and meet deadlines.
- Meticulous in maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance and handling documentation.
- Competent in using Microsoft Office and other relevant administrative software.
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication, with the ability to liaise professionally with players, parents, staff and external bodies.
- Understanding the importance of handling sensitive information appropriately.
- Ability to build rapport and work collaboratively with a diverse range of individuals.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in football administration and Academy recruitment.
The position will be offered on a full time permanent basis with a degree of flexibility needed to cover evening and weekend work as required. All relevant training will be provided.
