Our Wellbeing Projects are a diverse range of services supporting people adults who are experiencing problems with their mental health and emotional wellbeing. The mix of facilitated groups, peer led groups and one-to-one support provide choice to meet a range of needs.
Working as part of the Wellbeing Team, you will manage multiple projects and our dispersed staff and volunteer team across our areas of beneficiary. Working closely alongside the Head of Client Services, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our wellbeing projects and ensuring monitoring and evaluation requirements are met.
· Manage our multiple projects and all associated resources
· Mobilise and develop community wellbeing programmes meeting community and client needs
· Support the Head of Business Development to create and implement service plans
· Support the Head of Client Services to report on Wellbeing Programmes against grant and contract outcomes
· Build relationships with stakeholders and partner organisations
· Ensure clients are involved in project design, development of and the delivery of our services
· Work with other team members to develop funding applications and tender opportunities
· Support and empower the team to lead with Lived Experience
· Represent our organisation at community forums and partnerships
· Support Head of Clients Services at community networking events and researching local priorities
· Ensure that all responsibilities and activities discharged within this post are consistent with the organisation’s values and contractual policies
· Keep up to date with relevant policies and procedures and make best use of supervision, training and staff development.
· Take responsibility for your health and wellbeing and contribute to the promotion of staff wellbeing within Tyneside and Northumberland Mind.
· Be flexible in your role, willing to travel throughout Tyneside, with some travel in Northumberland, and very occasionally work unsociable hours.
· At least 3 years’ experience of staff management and experience of working within a mental health setting.
· Experience of managing projects and developing new ones.
· Experience in writing reports utilised for strategic decision making by Senior Leadership Team.
· Good knowledge of health and social welfare issues, you work from a social model of disability and understand that health inequalities are driven by social, economic and environmental factors.
· Understands the importance of co-production with those who have lived experience, in the design, development and delivery of services
· Can build relationships with a range of stakeholders build formal and informal partnerships.
· Committed to treating everyone with respect, dignity and fairness, and to challenging discrimination.
· Proficiency in using office software and communication tools.
· Strong Alignment with Tyneside and Northumberland Mind values and mission.
· Have experience in presenting.
· A good understanding of local services and referral pathways.
· Good knowledge of Safeguarding.
· Full drivers licence and use of own vehicle with confidence to drive in Tyneside and Northumberland Mind’s area of benefit (e.g. Newcastle, Gateshead, North and South Tyneside and Northumberland).
· Mental Health First Aid certificate or equivalent.
· Experience working or volunteering in a charity or not for profit organisation.
· Experience engaging with volunteers, ambassadors or community representatives.
In the light of legislation [Section 8 Asylum and Immigration Act, January 1997], as a condition of being able to commence employment, the successful candidate will be required to provide documentation to prove that they are able to work in the UK. Such documents will include one or more of the following, as appropriate:
- National Insurance number.
- Birth certificate or British passport.
- Certificate of registration, or naturalisation as a British citizen.
- Passport or documentation evidencing citizenship of an EEA country.
This post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
As this role involves regular travel to various locations to meet the operational needs of the business, offer holders must have:
- A full driving licence.
- Ideally access to private vehicle.
- Valid business travel insurance.
The appointment is subject to a probation period of 6 months.
Out of pocket expenses will be payable at rates set out in Tyneside and Northumberland Mind's expenses policy.
On joining, pro rata on a 24 working days per annum. Thereafter, the holiday entitlement increases depending on length of service. (The holiday year runs from 1 April to 31 March.)
