Supervisor – Audit Lead
To support the Registered Manager in delivering high-quality, person-centred care by ensuring full audit compliance with all regulatory requirements, including IPC, health and safety, safeguarding, and other key CQC audits. The Supervisor will oversee daily care operations and ensure documentation and practice reflect excellence in care delivery.
The Audit Lead is a part time role and would be a stand-alone position the hours are on a two-week rotation. Week 1 Tuesday/Saturday/Sunday and week 2 Wednesday/ Thursday 8 hours per day.
Key Responsibilities
1. Leadership & Supervision
- Provide day-to-day supervision to care staff, ensuring duties are carried out effectively and professionally.
- Act as a role model for best practice in all aspects of care and auditing.
- Support staff development through coaching, mentoring, and supervision sessions.
2. Compliance Monitoring
- Lead audits and checks in key compliance areas including medication, care plans, risk assessments, and daily records.
- Maintain up-to-date records to evidence compliance with CQC’s Key Lines of Enquiry (KLOEs).
- Identify areas for improvement and implement action plans in collaboration with the Registered Manager.
- Conduct regular audits and competency checks of staff
3. Quality Assurance
- Participate in internal audits and inspections.
- Monitor incident reporting, safeguarding alerts, and complaints, supporting investigation processes as required.
- Prepare reports and data to support quality assurance and continuous improvement.
6. Regulatory & Legal Frameworks
- Ensure the service operates in accordance with CQC Fundamental Standards, Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014, and other relevant legislation.
- Stay informed of changes in policy, practice, or legislation and help communicate these to the team.
Person Specification
Qualifications
Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent (or willing to work towards)
Experience
Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities
Experience with care planning and medication management
Experience liaising with CQC inspectors or involved in CQC inspections
Knowledge
Familiarity with electronic care systems
Skills
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Training or mentoring experience
Organised with a strong attention to detail
Analytical and problem-solving ability
Able to manage time, priorities and workload efficiently
Ability to compile quality assurance reports
Strong understanding of CQC regulations, safeguarding, MCA, DoLS, and person-centred planning

Rochdale Gateway Leisure is a charity that has provided valuable care and support to people with disabilities in the North-West of England for over thirty years.
Rochdale Gateway Leisure currently supports people through a range of disability support services. These include:
- Day service provision delivered through four services across Rochdale and Oldham
- Respite and Residential Services, Single Sex service and various accessible activities.
- Social clubs providing safe social settings for almost 100 people.
- Accessible Rainbows café.
Our goal is to further develop our existing services, provide support to a greater number of people, and explore building our expertise in related areas such as autism.
