Job Title: Retail Cover Sales Assistant
Salary: £14,286 pa
Location: Varying locations depending on shop cover
Hours of work: 22.5 hours over 3 varying days per week (Monday to Sunday)
Annual Leave: 25 days increasing to 27 after 5 years’ service and 29 after 9years’ service + 8 days in lieu of public holidays (FTE)

Job Summary
Tapping House currently operates 11 shops, an eBay shop and a warehouse in the local area. The jobholder will provide cover, at a sales assistant level, to these shops during periods of holidays, sickness and other absences. You will assist the Manager and Deputy Manager in maximising the contribution from the shop to Tapping House focusing on income and stock generation. You will assist in managing the shop volunteer teams by providing leadership, support and guidance in the Manager’s and Deputy Manager’s absence. You will ensure that the shop is used to promote the Tapping House and its activities.
Mileage expenses will be covered subject to the candidate having appropriate business insurance in place.
