Children’s Services Compliance and Standards Partner

Full-Time | Permanent Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience Location: St Elizabeth’s Centre, Much Hadham, Hertfordshire Hours: 37.5 hours per week

St Elizabeth’s is a unique and specialist residential, education and health charity supporting children, young people and adults with epilepsy and other complex needs. Our Children’s Residential Homes provide safe, nurturing, and stable environments where young people can thrive, grow and experience a positive childhood.

We are now seeking an experienced and values-led Children’s Services Compliance and Standards Partner — a newly created role designed to strengthen safeguarding, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance across our children’s homes.

About the Role

As our Children’s Services Compliance and Standards Partner, you will:

  • Provide organisation-wide oversight of safeguarding, quality, and regulatory compliance.
  • Work across all Children’s Homes to monitor, assess and strengthen practice.
  • Conduct quality audits, analyse trends, and support continuous improvement.
  • Support and challenge Registered Managers to embed safe, consistent, and nurturing care.
  • Drive Ofsted readiness and track progress against the Children’s Homes Regulations & Quality Standards
  • Ensure children lived experiences, voices and outcomes are at the heart of all practice.
  • Work closely with the Director of Children’s Services and professional colleagues across Education, Health, and Therapy
  • Champion a positive, trauma-informed, and child-centred culture

This is a senior and highly impactful position within our Children’s Residential Services, offering the opportunity to shape practice across multiple homes and influence meaningful change.

About You

We’d love to hear from you if you are:

  • An experienced Registered Manageror senior residential childcare professional
  • Highly knowledgeable in Children’s Homes Regulations, Quality Standards and Ofsted requirements
  • Confident in safeguarding leadership, quality assurance, and compliance
  • Skilled at conducting audits, analysing data, and identifying risks or patterns.
  • Able to challenge practice with professionalism and emotional intelligence.
  • Passionate about improving outcomes for children with complex needs.
  • A strong communicator, relationship builder, and values-led leader

You will be someone who cares deeply about quality, safety, and consistency — and who brings a calm, thoughtful and improvement-focused approach to supporting teams.
