We provide overnight short respite breaks, on-site and community-based day services, flexible outreach support and at-home care, and SEN advice services. Staff are not required to accept all hours offered; advance no(cid:415)ce will be provided of all hours available. Based at Rose Road £12.90 – £13.90 per hour. The weekday rate is £12.90 per hour. The enhanced rate is £13.90 per hour and is paid for all weekend hours and waking hours from 9pm to 7am on weekdays. Open ended applica(cid:415)on As a Support Worker, you will provide appropriate prac(cid:415)cal, social and emo(cid:415)onal support to children and young people with learning disabili(cid:415)es, neurodiversity and care needs, who a(cid:425)end the school holiday ac(cid:415)vity schemes and Saturday clubs, where there is a wide choice of inclusive, free-flow play ac(cid:415)vi(cid:415)es, reading, quiet spaces, cra(cid:332)s and so on. You will work with individuals or groups of young people depending on their need, and help them engage meaningfully with the tasks by encouraging them to take part, providing appropriate support, communica(cid:415)on and s(cid:415)mula(cid:415)on, and o(cid:332)en assis(cid:415)ng and ge(cid:427)ng involved with them in with crea(cid:415)ve play and age-appropriate ac(cid:415)vi(cid:415)es. To read and follow care plans, ensuring the dignity and respect of the child or young person’s requirements, observing strict confiden(cid:415)ality. To alert the appropriate Manager should more detailed and complex support be required by the family and to assist in devising strategies to achieve this. To accurately record work carried out with the children and young people which may include assessing the risk factors when planning or par(cid:415)cipa(cid:415)ng in ac(cid:415)vi(cid:415)es. To undertake a share of the rou(cid:415)ne tasks such as se(cid:427)ng up and clearing away all equipment/toys. To be able to work as flexibly as possible within agreed (cid:415)mes. Promote safeguarding at all (cid:415)mes and the welfare of children and young people. All accidents/incidents must be reported to the Ac(cid:415)vity Leader ensuring comple(cid:415)on of mandatory paperwork. Undertake all mandatory and relevant training as iden(cid:415)fied and agreed with line manager to ensure personal and professional growth and to adhere to all Rose Road Associa(cid:415)on policies.
