Associate Counsellors – Join North East Counselling Services

North East Counselling Services is recruiting Associate Counsellors to join our growing team.

North East Counselling Services is a non-profit Community Interest Company (CIC) with almost 20 years’ experience delivering counselling services across the North East. We work with adults, children and young people, and couples, and are looking to expand our workforce across all service areas. Our team includes both employed and associate counsellors, and we value collaboration, professionalism, and high-quality clinical practice.

Associate Counsellor roles are offered on a self-employed basis. Associates invoice North East Counselling Services monthly for work undertaken and are responsible for their own tax and National Insurance, as well as holding appropriate professional indemnity insurance and ICO registration.

Associate Counsellors are paid £20 per appointment.

All counsellors working with North East Counselling Services are qualified to a minimum of Level 5 Diploma standard and are registered with a recognised professional body (such as BACP or UKCP).

Clinical supervision is provided. Depending on caseload and supervision usage, associates may be asked to contribute towards supervision costs. North East Counselling Services also offers training opportunities and regular CPD sessions.

We would welcome applications from qualified counsellors who:

Have experience working with adults, children and young people, and/or couples

Are available to see a minimum of four clients per week

Can work from our office spaces in Blaydon or Felling

If you are interested in joining North East Counselling Services, please send your CV and a brief expression of interest to info@necounselling.org.uk
