Part-time
31st December 2025

About the Role

We’re looking for 2 warm, friendly and reliable receptionists for our Care & Rehabilitation Centre. You’ll help us create a welcoming environment for our clients and their families, while supporting the smooth running of reception.

About QEF

Queen Elizabeth’s Foundation for Disabled People (QEF) is a disability charity based in Surrey, with national reach. Our specialist neuro rehabilitation centre supports people to regain core skills after an acquired brain injury, stroke, incomplete spinal injury or neurological illness. We also provide complex care for people living with long-term neurological conditions.

What you will be doing

You’ll be the first friendly face (or voice!) people meet when they arrive or call. Tasks include:

  • Greeting and signing in clients, their family members, visitors and staff
  • Answering phones, transferring calls and taking messages
  • Handling deliveries
  • Making sure the reception area looks neat and tidy

What skills will you need

This is a great role if you enjoy meeting new people, like being helpful and want to build (or use) your reception skills. You’ll need to be:

  • Reliable, friendly and approachable
  • Comfortable chatting on the phone and talking to different people
  • Respectful and inclusive towards everyone

We’ll provide full training and ongoing support.

What’s in it for you

  • Boost your CV – gain valuable reception experience in a health care setting
  • Make a real difference to the everyday lives of people using our services

Time commitment and location

We would love volunteers to cover reception on Saturdays and Sundays between the hours of 10am and 4pm and are happy to discuss any time you can regularly commit to between those times.

Free on-site parking available.

*To apply for this role, please email volunteering@qef.org.uk or call Hazel on 07771575198. You do NOT need to upload a CV or covering letter*
