Westminster School is a busy and vibrant place to work. The IT Team at Westminster is integral to school life. The team works across the site to ensure that IT operations run smoothly and securely. Although predominantly based at Westminster School, the IT function also supports Westminster Under School at Vincent Square.
The role
We are looking for a Helpdesk Engineer for a 12 month fixed-term contract, to work Tuesday to Saturday on a rota basis. They will be responsible for providing timely and effective technical support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, to guarantee a positive user experience. The Helpdesk Engineer will be pupil and staff facing, and will be expected to log and track incidents and service requests. The role will involve regular system maintenance, with collaboration from other members of the team in order to resolve complex issues.
The successful applicant will combine in-depth technical knowledge of IT with strong communication and organisational skills. The ideal candidate will have experience of helpdesk ticketing systems and basic networking knowledge. They will be able to work under pressure and support pupils and colleagues in a calm and efficient manner.
The salary is £30,000 to £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
