Xplore! currently has an exciting opportunity for the right candidate with great customer service skills to join the Front of House - Sales and Retail Team. This varied role will involve providing a comprehensive sales, information, and ticketing service to visitors, alongside the operation of a retail and café facility within the Science Discovery Centre. The ticket desk, shop and cafe will be open 7 days a week. Weekend availability and holidays are essential to the role, whilst this is a casual contract, the opportunity to work additional hours may be available during weekdays to meet the needs of the business. A full understanding of retail environments, including stock rotation, experience of merchandising, cash handling and upselling techniques is essential to the role. Experience working in a café environment is required as you will be taking orders, preparing our expanding selection of foods, keeping the products fully stocked and making fresh pizza! This role is public-facing, therefore excellent standards of customer service and care are required. Working closely with the Customer Services Coordinator, you will be reporting on sales and stock, using our Epos system and the day-to-day running of the Front of House area. A comprehensive training programme will be provided to you in catering, till systems and health and safety.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable.
