Amnesty International is recruiting a Senior Director Regional Human Rights Impact on a permanent basis.This is a unique opportunity to join our senior leadership team at a time of significant global human rights challenges. We are looking for an outstanding leader to drive and implement our regional and international strategy.

If you are a visionary professional with deep knowledge of human rights law, proven success in delivering strategic and operational plans, and the passion to champion human rights worldwide, we want to hear from you.

Reporting to the Secretary General and working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, this role oversees Regional Directors across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas.Location: This role can be based in any of our office locations, but please note that our preference will be to appoint a candidate located in the Global South. Frequent travel to our London office is required. Salary and benefits will vary dependent on the location. Skills and experience required

  • Verbal and written fluency in English and at least one other language.
  • Strategic thinker able to analyse complex human rights material and shape high-impact interventions with deep expertise in human rights law, standards, and regional issues.
  • Proven senior operational leadership experience in a complex international organisation, involving security and critical incident management.
  • Strong crisis, risk, and resource management skills, with a record of leading people, budgets, and assets responsibly.
  • Skilled at uniting and fostering the integration of diverse and at times competing professional disciplines, and in creating a respectful and productive working environment in which all staff and managers can thrive.
  • Global mindset with experience in - or strong understanding of - decentralised organisational models.
