Location: 1 x Ware, 1x HoddesdonSalary: £9,678 per annum
Hours: 2 days per week, 9:00am – 5:00pm (Fridays and Saturdays)
Contract: Permanent | Part-time

About the Role
As Assistant Manager, you will support the Retail Manager to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the shop. You will help lead a dedicated team of volunteers to deliver excellent customer service and contribute to achieving sales targets and beyond!
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Retail Manager with daily operations, including opening/closing, cash handling, and stock management
- Provide a warm, welcoming environment for customers to represent our values
- Assist in driving sales and meeting (or surpassing) weekly and monthly targets
- Maintain high standards of merchandising, shop presentation, and stock rotation
- Help recruit, train, and motivate your team
- Ensure all activities comply with charity policies, health and safety regulations, and retail standards
- Step up to manage the shop to deputise for the Manager
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Proactive – able to take initiative and solve problems independently
- Approachable – friendly, supportive, and great with people
- Flexible – comfortable adapting to the needs of a busy retail environment
- Reliable, organised, and committed to delivering excellent customer service
- Previous retail or charity shop experience is desirable, but training will be provided
