Job: Care Assistant

Salary: While the hospice is not part of the NHS and so does not directly match NHS rates, we are competitive to the trust and offer the following salary scale.
0-2 years’ experience £24,554
2 years+ experience £24,866
Figures above are full time salaries. Will be pro-rata dependent on hours. Starting salary will be dependent on experience and/or qualifications.
Figures above are correct from April 2025

Hours of work: 30 hours per week, to be worked over long shifts (days/nights/weekends)



Are you able to work across the clinical areas of Inpatient Unit and any other clinical areas as necessary?

Are you able to support and assist qualified nursing staff in delivering high standards of person-centred care to patients and those important to them?

Do you have a basic understanding of the holistic needs of the patients and those important to them, and communicate with them as appropriate, referring to a qualified nurse when necessary?
