Suffolk Mind’s mission is to make Suffolk the best place in the world for talking about and taking care of mental health, and to assist with this we are looking to recruit a Care Worker for our award-winning, CQC registered care home - Montrose Housing Service.


Montrose House, located in north Ipswich is an award-winning residential care home for 10 residents with long term mental health needs.
It has been rated as Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission and recently won the Wellbeing at Work award by Care Development East. ​

Key information:

  • Hours:37 hours per week
  • Work pattern:7-week rota, including weekends, evenings, bank holidays and unsociable hours, to be discussed at interview
  • Salary:From £23,492.04 - £25,375.00. Plus the opportunity to earn on average £3,380.00 per year on top of salary for sleep-in’s.
  • Location:Ipswich

  • At least 1 years’ experience of working with people in a social care setting
  • Desirable: Experience of working in a residential setting
  • Desirable: Level 2 or 3 health and social care qualification or equivalent
  • Good listening and people skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Enhanced Adult’s DBS (arranged by Suffolk Mind)
