Programme Manager (Discover! Creative Careers)

Discover! Creative Careers (DCC) is a government-funded, industry-led programme providing specialist information, advice and guidance to young people aged 11–18, as well as those who support their career decisions. Delivered by ScreenSkills in partnership with more than 30 organisations across 12 creative industry sub-sectors, DCC brings together industry, education and careers professionals to offer meaningful encounters with employers throughout the year. Our hybrid programme provides in-person and virtual activities, training for teachers and careers professionals, and a suite of online resources, including the popular Careers Finder. It is the only platform to bring every creative sub-sector together, with content created or informed entirely by industry partners. Each November, our flagship event Discover! Creative Month connects thousands of young people with hundreds of workplaces, offering hands-on experiences and insights into the creative industries.

For 2025–26, DCC has received further funding from the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) to continue and significantly expand its work, with a target of 100,000 engagements. This expansion includes several new strands:

  • Work Experience Pilot for Year 10 and Year 11 (England)
  • Sector-based Work Academy Programmes (SWAPs) for ages 16–24 (England)
  • Programme expansion across Scotland and Wales

Since launching in 2018, DCC has supported more than 150,000 children and young people through talks, workplace encounters, lesson plans and industry-informed resources. This year, we aim to reach an additional 100,000 young people.

The Programme Manager (Discover! Creative Careers) will work closely with the Head of Discover! Creative Careers, the Senior Programme Manager and the Senior Careers Manager to March 2026 to deliver specific programme strands.
