About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced and driven Technical Delivery Manager (Apps and Systems) to join our growing Technology team.

This is an exciting leadership opportunity to shape and deliver transformative technology initiatives across Sense’s systems, from care management and finance to CRM and digital collaboration platforms.

You will oversee the delivery and optimisation of these systems, ensuring they are modern, secure, and aligned with the organisation’s mission. Working closely with stakeholders, suppliers, and technical teams, you will turn complex requirements into practical, high-quality solutions that make a real difference in how we deliver care and support.

This role is based at our Selly Oak office in Birmingham, with hybrid working (2–3 days per week in the office). Occasional travel to other Sense locations (London and Loughborough) and supplier offices will be required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of business applications and enterprise systems, ensuring scope, timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
  • Manage change delivery, system improvements, and complex issue resolution.
  • Maintain and deliver the roadmap for Sense’s core applications and ensure systems are integrated, secure, and user-centred.
  • Champion accessibility and inclusion in all aspects of technology delivery.
  • Oversee system upgrades, migrations, and process automation projects.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the charity, translating business needs into effective technical outcomes.
  • Manage supplier performance, ensuring value for money and excellent service.
  • Promote governance, documentation, and continuous improvement in project delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with Cyber Essentials requirements and support accreditation processes.
  • Line manage and mentor team members, supporting professional growth and performance.

About You

We’re looking for someone with:

  • A proven track record of delivering complex technical or systems projects, ideally across multiple business domains.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise applications (such as Microsoft 365, Dynamics CRM, or care management systems).
  • Experience coordinating internal and external teams, with excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • A structured approach to project delivery (knowledge of ITIL, PRINCE2, or Agile methodologies).
  • Strong organisational and analytical skills, with a passion for problem-solving.
  • A genuine interest in using technology to enhance inclusion, care, and empowerment.

Desirable experience:

  • Working within the charity, social care, or public sector environment.
  • Knowledge of low-code/no-code tools, integration, or workflow automation.
  • Understanding of data protection, accessibility, and information security standards.
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g. PRINCE2, Agile, ITIL, or Microsoft 365/Dynamics).
