Our ​dedicated adult services team are looking for a male support worker to support a young gentleman living in the Muscliff area.

Please note:  Autism Unlimited does not provide visa sponsorship.​ 

A Genuine Occupational Requirement applies under Schedule 9, Paragraph 1 of the Equality Act 2010. This role is therefore only open to male candidates, referring to the sex legally assigned at birth.

To be considered for this role  you must hold a Full UK driving licence,  however access to your own vehicle is not essential. 

The role 

Lucas is in his late twenties and lives in his own home in Muscliff. He communicates using visual aids, PECS cards, signs and gestures, giving him his own unique way of sharing his thoughts and preferences.

Lucas enjoys a range of activities, such as:

  • Enjoying a day out at the local farm where he can meet the animals.
  • Going to the park to reach new heights on the swings.
  • Travelling on the chain ferry across to Swanage for the day.
  • On quieter days, Lucas challenges himself to tackle new puzzles and completes them in record time!

Lucas is supported on a 2:1 basis and is reliant on his support staff. He requires assistance with personal care, medication and meal preparation.

​As a valued member of our team, your role will involve a mix of meaningful support, from helping with daily routines like food preparation, shopping, and personal care, to accompanying residents as they access the community and pursue their interests. You may also assist with administering medication to ensure their wellbeing.

Hours: 37 hours per week

This would be a mixture of shifts between 7am – 10pm - Monday - Sunday

This role would include alternate weekends and sleep ins (sleep ins come with an additional payment)
