The Bishop of Down and Dromore seeks to appoint a Priest-in-charge for the Parish of Orangefield.

St John’s Orangefield is a welcoming parish family situated in East Belfast.

We seek to appoint a person with the following qualities:

Essential

● Has a heart for evangelism and outreach in a suburban setting.

● Carries a passion for children and young people, and the ability to grow these

ministries.

● Is rooted in scripture and prayer, who can inspire us with vision, and who will

equip us to be a fruitful, outward-looking church.

● Can lead across two congregations with different worship styles.

Desirable

● Has experience of both traditional and contemporary worship.

● Is comfortable welcoming and working alongside people from all backgrounds and

minority groups.

● Can bring fresh discernment for outreach.

● Provides sensitive pastoral care, particularly for older members.

● Shares our commitment to caring for creation, including the values of Eco Church.
