About The Role
We are looking for a confident and skilled Senior Finance Officer to join our Finance Team. Our objective is to deliver a first-class financial service to services/departments throughout the Trust, with a view to ensuring excellence in terms of service delivery and value for money.
Reporting to the Principal Accountant, your role will consist of working with Managers and budget holders to manage budgets and maintain forecasts, to provide timely financial information and advice to support services in achieving their objectives, to support the Finance Team and promote the delivery of an excellent service to customers.
If you are an AAT qualified and/or part qualified Accountant with relevant industry or Local Government experience and a proactive mindset, we would love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Principal Accountant to provide a comprehensive, professional financial support service to managers, staff and budget holders.
- To prepare revenue monitoring, budgets and other complex financial reports for Directors and their management teams.
- To develop good working relationships with colleagues to support the delivery of financial services and showing at all times professionalism and respect.
- Prepare, analyse and interpret financial and other service performance information to influence and enable managers to make the correct operational decisions.
About You
- You will be AAT qualified (or hold an equivalent qualification), with relevant finance business partnering and other finance experience (not restricted to local government)
Strong interpersonal skills are also a requirement for this role.
