    Centre Support Workerto join our dedicated team in delivering person-centred support to those in need.
    About the Role

    As a Centre Support Worker, you will play a vital role in coordinating support services within the centre, helping service users to develop independent living skills, and building partnerships with external agencies. You’ll work closely with the Centre Manager and volunteers to ensure the centre is a welcoming, safe, and empowering space for all.


    Key Responsibilities
    • Deliver and review person-centred support plans.
    • Provide 1:1 coaching to build confidence and independence.
    • Conduct welfare checks and ensure safeguarding protocols are followed.
    • Coordinate food provision, form completion, and other support services.
    • Maintain accurate records and respond to enquiries professionally.
    • Support volunteer recruitment, training, and supervision.
    • Promote the centre locally and attend networking events.
    • Assist in organising activities and sessions at the centre.

    About You

    We’re looking for someone who is:

    • Experienced in working with adults with support needs.
    • Skilled in building relationships and working collaboratively with other agencies.
    • Knowledgeable in safeguarding, health & safety, and support needs.
    • A confident communicator with strong organisational and IT skills.
    • Empathetic, self-motivated, and aligned with SVP’s values.
    Desirable:Experience in the voluntary sector, supervising volunteers, and conducting risk assessments.
    Requirements
    • Subject to Enhanced DBS check (including Children’s Barred List).
    • Occasional involvement in regulated activity with underage volunteers.
