Minibus Driver
Zero Hours Contract
£15.10 per hour + excellent benefits.
We are seeking a number of conscientious minibus drivers, for both morning and afternoon shifts to drive our students to and from our school campuses on Chaucer Road and Bateman Street and to and from our designated transport destinations.
The post is term-time only (35 weeks per year), working Monday to Friday.
The hours are slightly flexible but generally run between the following hours:
- Morning: 7.00am-9.00am
- Afternoon: 4.00pm-6.00pm.
Additional driving may be available on an ad hoc basis.
Applicants must be at least 21 years and have held a clean full driving license for more than 12 months.Having a driving licence with a D1 category is an advantage.

Food service assistant (FSA)

We are seeking a dedicated Food Service Assistant (FSA) to manage and support the front-of-house operations for the catering team. In this vital role, the FSA will ensure that all food service areas are clean, organised and welcoming, whilst delivering high-quality customer service to students, staff and visitors. The role also involves assisting with afternoon event setups and ensuring that events run smoothly and professionally. You will be working closely with the Chef Manager and the kitchen team to ensure seamless operation and a high level of customer satisfaction. This is a key role in supporting the success of the School functions, grab-and-go services and catering events.
Key duties include – but not limited to:
- General kitchen tasks and duties.
- Adherence to food safety regulations and allergy guidelines.
- Support event catering for functions, including fine dining and summer programmes.
- All legal documentation kept electronically and up to date.
This position is ideal for someone seeking a consistent part-time role that offers a balanced schedule with afternoons free. Production Technician
Permanent contract, Part time
£22,800 per annum (dependent on experience) [£38,000 FTE]
The Drama Department at St Mary’s School, Cambridge, is a dynamic and creative environment, committed to producing high-quality, professional-standard performances. We create bespoke sets for all our productions, including our biannual productions: the Whole School musical and Upper School play. Recent productions include The Addams Family and Medea, where both the technical and performance aspects were crafted to a professional level. Our aim is always to give students the experience of working in a theatre environment that reflects industry standards, with high expectations paired with strong support.
For A Level devised performances, we work closely with students to design and build bespoke sets that bring their creative visions to life. The collaborative nature of our department ensures that students are fully supported in achieving ambitious, imaginative work. While we take pride in our high-performing ethos, the department has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, complete with regular biscuit breaks in the office, making it a welcoming and enjoyable place to work.
The successful applicant will be expected to work flexible hours but is especially required in the run up to, and during, School productions and other public events. The successful applicant will work approximately four days a week during term-time, this will include working some evenings and weekends. The exact timetable will be negotiated with the School but will require some flexibility from the successful candidate and managed by the Head of Drama.

Junior school learning support assistant
17.5 hours per week, term time only

St Mary’s School is looking for an exceptional individual to work as a specialist learning support assistant to provide specialised teaching of specific skills and support to a pupil.
If successful, you will join our Junior School’s Learning Support team to facilitate the active participation and inclusion of all pupils in the academic activities of the school. Working as part of a small team, the successful candidate will be friendly and approachable and will have the ability to evaluate learning needs and seek out learning opportunities for students.
