Access Tutors

Christ Church seeks to appoint two Access Tutors to support with Christ Church’s Access and Outreach activities, and in particular with academic sessions for young people.

This is an excellent opportunity for postgraduates / postdoctoral researchers to disseminate their research to wider audiences and to contribute to increasing access to higher education and to Oxford for young people from socio-economically disadvantaged and under-represented groups.

The Access Tutors will have different areas of expertise, which should be linked to one of the following Oxford undergraduate studies: Asian & Middle Eastern Studies, Philosophy, Economics, Geography, History, History of Art, Politics, Engineering, Physics, Psychology. Under the direction of the Access Team, they will develop and deliver different types of access sessions, for online and in-person attendees.

The successful candidates will be a matriculated, enrolled graduate student at the University of Oxford in 2025/26 or hold postdoctoral status at Oxford for the 2025/26 academic year. Excellent oral communication skills, including the ability to make effective presentations to live and remote audiences is essential.
