Conkers is a lively and welcoming 7 bed residential home for Young Adults who have Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities. We are looking for some amazing new people to join our team. Please read the full job description before applying for this role. Our goal is to ensure the people we support live as independently as possible and have access to community activities. As a staff team we often say “today has to be the best day of their lives!”. We have a committed and passionate workforce and are looking for likeminded people. All training and support is provided as well as a learning packed induction period. Your days at Hollybank will be as varied as the people we support, however your typical day to day role will include: - Supporting with meals and drinks, and to help them to get excited about being involved in cooking and baking!
- Helping with their personal care, including bathing and showering, so they look and feel great.
- Engaging in meaningful activities both at home and out in the community – whether that’s the cinema, bowling, or abseiling.
- Building a relationship with the adults and their families, so that you can provide truly person-centred, individualised care.
- Supporting adults to access our on-site Hydrotherapy pool (don’t worry, you don’t need to be a strong swimmer!) and Rebound trampoline – guided by qualified Physiotherapists and Lifeguard trained staff.
Experience is welcome, but not essential, as all training will be given. You - Onsite food and coffee shop – Mirfield site only.
