Resettlement Worker
Lancashire Women have provided resettlement interventions for women in HMP Styal for seven years. We adopt a holistic approach to our support services within the prison. The role will require someone to maintain strong links within the prison and with external organisations, as well as develop new connections.
The post holder will be responsible for delivering a range of interventions to support women preparing for release from prison. The aim is to assist their successful reintegration into the community while also removing any barriers that could prevent a woman from resettling in the community.
This is the first stage of their journey with Lancashire Women and plays a vital part in supporting the women we work with. It involves full engagement within the prison and advocating for our women to ensure the best possible outcomes. The role will require the post holder to pass enhanced HMPPS prison vetting.
